1. The sound is not working correctly.

To begin, please check to ensure that the lock on the outside of the iPad is turned on. If this is not the problem, the lack of sound may have to do with the settings within the app. You can make sure that the Audio narration is interrupted when the user interacts with another element on the screen. In order to refresh the audio narration at any point, simply tap the white "Refresh" icon below the text.

2. How can I skip the introduction?

You can skip the introductory animation at any time by tapping on the screen.

3. Why does the Read section not always begin on Page 1?

Misty Island Rescue was developed to comply with Apple's multitasking feature for iPad iOS 4.0 and above. With this new capability, users can have several apps running simultaneously, without needing to fully exit any of them. Therefore, if you return to the Read section after using another app, the story will resume on whichever page you were last on. In the case that Misty Island Rescue appears on your multi-tasking dashboard but still begins at Page 1, the iPad has most likely shut down due to inactivity. The app will also begin on Page 1 if you quit nad re-open the app, or restart your device.

4. The screen is grayed out and the interactions aren't working. What's wrong?

Make sure the horizontal menu bar, at the bottom of the screen, is not open. You cannot interact with this application when this navigational bar is open.

5. Why is the app crashing?

If the app is crashing on your device, please confirm that you have the latest version of Misty Island Rescue for iPad. You can check this by accessing the “Updates” section (lower-right corner of the App Store) on your device. Another step to try is closing all background apps and restarting your device. To do this, simply hold down the power button until the "slide to power off" option appears.
