1. How can I skip the introduction?

You can skip the introductory animation at any time by tapping on the screen.

2. How do I acquire more Martha Stewart cocktail recipes?

Select free recipe packs are available with app purchase. To download each pack, tap the cocktail icon on the bottom-left corner of the runway, and scroll until you see the “Available for Purchase” section (you must have a Wi-Fi connection). Free packs are indicated with a “free” button. Upon selecting a pack, a popover describing that pack will appear. To proceed with the download, tap the “free” button at the bottom of the popover; a notification will then ask you to confirm. After you’ve confirmed, the cocktails in that pack will download to your app. You can access the new cocktails by swiping right to left, or by tapping the thumbnail in “Your Library.”

To purchase additional recipe packs, tap the cocktail icon in the bottom-left corner of the runway, and scroll until you see the “Available for Purchase” section (you must have a Wi-Fi connection). Packs available for purchase are indicated with a “buy” button. Upon selecting a pack, a popover describing that pack will appear. To proceed with the purchase, tap the price button at the bottom of the popover. You may be asked to verify your iTunes login information. Once the purchase is completed, the bundle will be downloaded directly onto your app, as indicated by the green download progress bar. You can access the new cocktails by swiping right to left, or by tapping the thumbnail in “Your Library.”

3. How can I share cocktails with my friends and family?

Tap “share” below the cocktail name on its recipe screen. From here, you can select either Email or Facebook as your sharing mode. If you select Email, the app will use your default account to automatically set up an email with the recipe text and a photo. Simply type the recipient's email address into the appropriate field and tap “send.” If you select Facebook, the app will ask for permission to access your Facebook account. Once you provide login information, you will be able to post cocktail recipes as Facebook status updates.

4. How do I search for a certain cocktail?

To access the search wheel at any time, tap the green Martha Stewart ribbon in the upper-left corner of the screen, and select “Search.” You can spin the outer part of the search wheel to select a type of liquor (brandy, gin, etc.), and the inner part to select a cocktail flavor (bitter, creamy, etc.). If you know what you’re looking for, you can also type specific words into the search box in the upper-right corner.

5. How do I add ingredients to my shopping list?

Martha Stewart Cocktails is integrated with ZipList, a universal shopping list. You can create a ZipList account at ziplist.com, or use the Shopping List locally (without ZipList integration). To add ingredients to your Shopping List, go to the recipe you wish to make, and tap the “add to shopping list” icon displayed below the ingredient list. To access your Shopping List at any time, tap the Martha Stewart ribbon in the upper-left corner of the screen, and select “Shopping List.” You will be asked if you wish to connect to ZipList or use your Shopping List locally. You can change this setting by tapping “preferences.” You can also access your ZipList account from the Internet, or from your iPad.
